OstroVit Matcha Green Tea powder - an unconventional alternative to classic tea and coffee

Matcha - Japanese green tea available in powder form, which is distinguished by its intense color. It's an infusion prepared from the leaves of Camellia sinensis L., which are covered with special bamboo or fabric mats about three weeks before harvesting to limit the sun's rays. This, in turn, causes the leaves of the plant to produce more chlorophyll and reduce the production of tannin, as well as taking on a darker color. Protecting the plant from the sun also promotes an increase in the level of amino acids in its leaves, resulting in a more aromatic taste of the infusion. The traditional preparation of matcha is associated with the Japanese tea ceremony and involves an entire ritual, but in addition to classic tea drinking, matcha powder can also be used as a topping for pancakes, salads or desserts.

The matcha green tea leaf powder extract used in OstroVit is standardized for its polyphenol and caffeine content, which has a positive effect on the quality of the dietary supplement and ensures an equal portion of valuable bioactive compounds in each serving of the product.

About the labeling of allergens in product ingredients

We would like to draw your attention to important information regarding product labeling, especially in light of the growing issue of allergies in both children and adults. In accordance with European Union legislation, which came into effect in 2014, there is a list of 14 allergens that must be clearly labeled on the packaging of food products. These allergens include eggs, milk, fish, crustaceans, mollusks, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame seeds, gluten, soybeans, celery, mustard, lupin, and sulfites. If any of these allergens are present in the product, they must be highlighted separately from other text.

However, there is an important clarification we would like to emphasize. In cases where the product you are purchasing may have come into accidental contact with other allergens (cross-contamination), manufacturers may voluntarily provide information about the potential risk of allergen presence. Cross-contamination can occur at various stages, including during product manufacturing, transportation, storage, and food preparation.

Therefore, if you find a label on the packaging that reads "May contain...," "Produced in a facility that processes other ingredients containing allergens," or a similar notification, it does not necessarily mean that the specific allergen is part of the product's ingredients. This warning is for your safety and serves as a reminder of potential risk for those who have allergies.

It's worth noting that, since this labeling is voluntary, the absence of such labeling on a product does not guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination with allergens. Similarly, the presence of a notification does not necessarily mean that allergens are mandatory ingredients in the product.

We recommend carefully reading the information on the packaging and following the usage recommendations for products. Your health and safety are important to us.
