OstroVit Marine Collagen + MCT Coconut Oil - a valuable source of valuable ingredients

Collagen is one of the main building proteins of the body, a natural polymer and an important component of the intercellular substance of animal organisms. It is a structural protein, which accounts for about 30% of all proteins in the human body. They can be found incl. in connective tissue, blood vessels, as well as in muscles, skin and hair. Because the level of collagen in the body decreases with age as a result of natural aging processes, it is worth providing the compound to the body also from the outside - collagen occurs i.a. in animal bones or tendons and is also available in the form of dietary supplements. Marine collagen type I used in the preparation OstroVit is a source of hydrolyzed fish collagen peptides, which structure resembles human collagen. This, however, makes the substance stand out for its excellent bioavailability in the human body and works more effectively than other forms of the compound.

MCT oil or medium-chain triglycerides, are saturated fats, which consist of fatty acids containing from 6 to 10 (and according to some sources up to 12) carbon atoms.

MCT oil is most often obtained from coconut oil, as well as palm oil or milk fat. Although it is saturated fat, it differs from other fatty acids in this group, which results, among others, from a different way of absorption - MCT oil is absorbed from intestinal epithelial cells and with the help of a portal vein goes directly to the liver, which means that the compound from the digestive system gets directly into the circulatory system at a rate similar to glucose. In addition, its digestion does not require the presence of lipase and bile, which favorably affects the pace of the process. MCT oil is a source of energy that is willingly used, i.a. by people on a ketogenic diet, e.g. as an ingredient of bulletproof coffee.

Vitamin C, also called ascorbic acid, is an essential organic chemical compound classified as a water-soluble vitamin. It is an exogenous substance that the body cannot synthesize on its own, which is why it is necessary to provide the compound to the body from the outside - The ingredient can be found in food in fresh fruits and vegetables, i.a. peppers, kohlrabi, oranges or blackcurrants, as well as in dietary supplements.

The use of marine collagen type I, MCT oil and vitamin C in OstroVit preparation makes the supplement a valuable and versatile supplement to the daily diet. At the same time, the combination of three active compounds into one product contributes to reducing the amount of preparations taken.

Properties of the ingredients contained in OstroVit Marine Collagen + Coconut MCT Oil:

Vitamin C helps in the proper production of collagen to ensure the proper functioning of blood vessels, bones, cartilage and gums, teeth and skin. Moreover, it contributes to adequate energy metabolism and helps to maintain optimal psychological functions. L-ascorbic acid also supports the proper functioning of the nervous and immune systems and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The compound increases the absorption of iron, as well as helps in the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E. Vitamin C supports the protection of cells against oxidative stress and helps to maintain the proper functioning of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise.

About the labeling of allergens in product ingredients

We would like to draw your attention to important information regarding product labeling, especially in light of the growing issue of allergies in both children and adults. In accordance with European Union legislation, which came into effect in 2014, there is a list of 14 allergens that must be clearly labeled on the packaging of food products. These allergens include eggs, milk, fish, crustaceans, mollusks, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame seeds, gluten, soybeans, celery, mustard, lupin, and sulfites. If any of these allergens are present in the product, they must be highlighted separately from other text.

However, there is an important clarification we would like to emphasize. In cases where the product you are purchasing may have come into accidental contact with other allergens (cross-contamination), manufacturers may voluntarily provide information about the potential risk of allergen presence. Cross-contamination can occur at various stages, including during product manufacturing, transportation, storage, and food preparation.

Therefore, if you find a label on the packaging that reads "May contain...," "Produced in a facility that processes other ingredients containing allergens," or a similar notification, it does not necessarily mean that the specific allergen is part of the product's ingredients. This warning is for your safety and serves as a reminder of potential risk for those who have allergies.

It's worth noting that, since this labeling is voluntary, the absence of such labeling on a product does not guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination with allergens. Similarly, the presence of a notification does not necessarily mean that allergens are mandatory ingredients in the product.

We recommend carefully reading the information on the packaging and following the usage recommendations for products. Your health and safety are important to us.
