Japanese knotweed - a species of plant from the Polygonaceae family, native to southern Asia. It is a perennial, melliferous perennial with lush rhizomes and stolons, which is currently considered an invasive species that multiplies and spreads rapidly, posing a threat to endemic vegetation. Japanese knotweed has hollow, bent stems and relatively large leaves in the shape of an ellipse.
